So cleaned it up and put some wd40 on the motor pin and now its silent and the flap moves :D
Re: Custom made Induction kit - AKA My-special-induction-kit!-ITG-filter-weld-p**n-et
Guna stop bidding now.. 3 days to go yet each time within a couple hours im outbid... very odd for ebay for that to happen.
So.
All back together.
Problem that's left is that to change from hot to cold I have to restart the engine.
Does anyone have any idea why it's doing this? If I try and change from hot to cold with the engine running the motor will attempt to move and then stop. I can tell this by feeling it...
More updates.. If no one is reading now they may in the future so its all good :)
After looking at some pics online of what these motors should look like i noticed that the Motor was incorrect.. Here are some pics:

So...
Put temp on...
After doing a forum search i have seen that there have been many people with this type of issue but my motor is actually broken it seems. No one else looks to have had this issue?
Hey
Got my car back from SRS today, Seems my Non heating issue is due to the flap motor not getting told what to do. They first thought it was down to the control panel but they tried a working one and it didn't work again.
I have watched the motor when I try to get from hot to cold and indeed...
Re: Custom made Induction kit - AKA My-special-induction-kit!-ITG-filter-weld-p**n-et
Am I correct in thinking this will plug straight into my 172?
Just remove stock air filter first?
I went round the car with a pot of 676 Paint and covered all the deep scratches with it.
Now i have a Very poop looking car with paint brush marks all over it :O
Will give it a week then do it again, then a week again and will then Sand her down (on the paint bits with 3000WD) and Clear Coat...
Lol so close to due on miles and WAY over due on age.
He needs to drop his price but no doubt someone who hasn't a clue will buy it. (like when i bought mine)
Why would you pull the handbrake?
and at 40Mph wouldnt you stop kinda hard anyway? How did you spin?
Im sorry but it makes no sense, I have been in the situation where i had to emergancy break doing 40mph and my car just stopped within 10 feet and i didn't move from a straight line direction.
I will ask them to check it. Although his sons have Clio Sports and he does those so i kind athink he knows what he is doing when it comes to the belts. But will ask him anyway
thanks Nick from leeds. I will have a look for that one and Buy one to replace mine anyway, Looking at all the cars history there is no mention of it ever being replaced so its due one.
Will do Rob.
Also if it is the sensor will this one be a good one to use? (just looking at all my options)

I just called the garage, they said they will plug the car into their computer and have a look at all the data. And if need be replace the sensor and see what happens. Its going in friday for the heating issue anyway so two birds one stone :)
Yea my commute is also 200miles a week, I would...
Nice idea. Pay day is friday so will fill her up and then take a trip down to Coventry for some shopping with the wife. Then on way back will fill her up again and see how much was used.
Ok will add that sensor to the list.
Yes i understand that its a 2L engine and its uber cool and all that jazz, But my commute is 40 miles a day which a good 15 miles of that is on the A46 and M69 which is fast flowing traffic. Yea one or two days was stop start for a good couple of hours but i...
