I think I would have the bonnet without the vent and I'd be incline to remove the side bump strips and smooth and I personally I think that would look rather nice :)

Surely if that is the case the DVLA allow you to register on a car that is too old?

Welcome! I had one similar to yours for a few years, now have a sport after saving. It's worth keeping it more or less standard otherwise you'll waste a load of money. Don't forget to become a club member ;)

I know what you mean mate, I went over took some pictures and did speak to a few of them. Had a look at a couple of dirty diesel engines but I've spoken to the Corsa guys before so I wanted to speak to the Clio people who I'd not met before.

Use Fubar's guide to remove the door card and it should be fine.

Welcome! Your car is a Renault Clio Sport, the 172/182's are RenaultSport Clio's. With the cutting out, check the guides section (on the left side) and it might be in there.

If it's been done at Renault they will have the records on there system.

You need to replace the whole motor as silly as it sounds for just a clip, part was quoted to me at £201 by Renault but the best bet is to get it the part yourself (eBay etc) and fit it yourself.

People have favorites, personally I'd probably go for something like Seagate which seem quite reliable.
