Does that replace the whole XMB then with a windows type affair? Not really up with all that OS stuff. Do I have to download it to my PC and transfer it over? Links please?
Cheers
I have one of the previous generation ones of those that my wife uses. Simple to use and hardwearing, plus great sounding. As Mr. Hoff says, coupled with some E23's or similar will be great. Although the supplied ones are fine really if you aren't that bothered.
You can't get much better for sound quality in a DAP. True the software is a bit niggly but it works ok. I have 3 Sony DAPs of various sizes but use my HD5 the most.
I would have a look at these. For the money they are spot on, the picture quality is excellent and you get a pair of very good...
Currently PS3 only supports MP3, MP4 and some other file types. No AVI or DIVX. It will do of course in future.
Definitely buy RFOM. Great online and I've finally got into the story. Takes a while to get going but is great after that.
I've had my 182 for 3 years now from new and am very happy with it. I did run it in quite hard and I think that helped. Now it's hit 30K it really feels quick, even from low down it picks up well.
I do not like the esp though. Going round a tight corner with it on almost feels like your going...
I've never had any issues with Citronic but couldn't say the same for Numark. I'd go for either Vestax if you want decent quality/feel. The white one is a great price.
My choice would be between these three.

It's white but who cares? It's also cheap.

Don't be put off by the name, I have had 2 mixers by the same company and they are great value for money and...
Do you want it just for the effects and do you really need 4 channels? For that sort of money it isn't going to be great on the sound front. You'd be better off spending the money on a decent quality mixer.
Effects tend to get over used and don't make a better dj. I went out and bought a Kaoss...
It's a great bit of kit but I'm a bit biased. Almost silent running and with the location free box you can access content from a PSP or laptop anywhere in the world. You can upgrade the RAM to 3GB and it runs Vista. Obviously don't buy it from Sonystyle as the prices are high!
See below for...
Are you sure? I've never heard of anyone djing with FL Studio/Fruity Loops. The only programs that I know people are using to dj are Ableton Live and Acid. Although even Acid users use Ableton to warp the tracks properly first.
It isn't that expensive either! If you supply it "free of charge"...
I sort of missed the CDJ boat. I played vinyl for 10 years then switched over to Ableton. If I had the money I'd probably get some to mess around with though. Still have my 1210's which I really need to set up again as I miss the hands on feel!
It depends how you want to go about it. Purely software with a midi controller or hooking up decks and using timecoded vinyl.
If you are starting from scratch then Ableton Live is where most people are going as it is so versitile and a whole new approach. Sasha uses it instead of CDJ's and Vinyl...
I got a mate at work one for his birthday and it's great fun. It takes a bit of adjusting to get it flying perfectly. You may want to add a small bit of blutac to the front, it seems to help.
I waited for the PS3 to be released but nearly bought a 360 when the release date was put back. I held out though and am glad I did. I'm not a hardcore gamer but do love to give it a bash when I have free time and I love it. RFOM is the best game out at the moment but it's great fun and great...
Check The Hoff's comments on upscaling on the previous page. As for HDMI it is worth it if you have an HD ready TV as it is the connection you need to view stuff in HD. You can then download HD files and view them how they are supposed to look on your HD tv!
It depends what you are after. The only reason I would buy the more expensive is because I'm super lazy. You wouldn't even need to burn a disk and also have HD quality. The other is a very good and almost a disposable price. It's just the USB, HDMI and upscaling swung it for me.

Personally I'd go with one of these. It's more expensive but has a host of features. Even has USB to plug and play from your new external HD. Has HDMI output too and upscales.
Never had a problem with it running out, it's been great. I've tried resetting it too. I guess I'll have to go through the returns process. Lucky our staff shop has them in stock at the moment.
Bugger! A guy on Resistance forums said he had the same and it just sorted itself out. I'm not convinced it will though. I'll hold out over the weekend and see.
