Had the same as that on my 172. Was a grommet around the A/C pipes where they come through the bulkhead not fitted correctly.

I have noticed a couple of times when cornering fast that the rear end feels although it is gonna let go and im gonna spin. It scared the sh1t out of me when it first did it. Im sure it isnt normal cos it doesnt feel safe. Any ideas? It has done 20k. Dave

Just tried privilege. Came out at £294 but they have a compulsory excess of £400 + voluntary excess of £250. So if i made a claim i gotta shell out £650 before anthing happens. Anyone else heard of this compulsory excess? No wonder its cheap.
