I think you have to turn it on whilst pressing F8 or something and it should come up with a black screen and white writing, choose the option that says turn on using last known safe configuration :)

Is the computer working but no screen my laptop did this once, completely blank screen but inside you could hear the comp working!! I had to turn it on in safe mode
