y reg 2001 phase1 172 24,700,runs spot on,pulls well only problem is a sqeeling auxillary belt that comes and goes apart from that really impressed.:D

standing start up hill(steepish)as well, easily had the edge.

i got my oydessy blue touch up kit from renault dixon came in two parts, paint and laquer it was around £7.50.

does the service/airbag light come on intermittently when a service is due,or just after, done the 24,000 mile service myself and its just started coming on intermittenly mileage 24,255,it use to be on all the time but i had all the connectors sorted under the seats.:confused:

my previous motor was a 306 xsi 2.0 8 valve not too bad on petrol but my 172 is a lot better 36mpg on the trip comp at the mo.

yesterday on the shell garage just off junction 40 m1 going into wakey.

as said above matey it goes after about 45 seconds or so,then comes back only slightly when holding it on full lock^^^^^not go away^^^ as you qoute,the power steering pumps fine as is the fluid level,ime thinking as you say the idler pulley bearing is a strong suspect because on full lock this...
