if it is a sticky release bearing, is that a big job, ie does the engine need taking out...! i think my mechanic is taking me for a ride...!!

ok cheers mate, ive compared it to TomS valvers clutch and his is much lighter than mine... oh well more money!! about to have head gasket done!!

how dya know its slow when uve only driven ur 182 also...
if all uve driven is a 1.0 micra then u might not think its slow til u drive a 182 or a valver, coopers etc.!!!
My valver may have head gasket probs cos the water level keeps dropping, yet ive checked the exhaust and no water vapour goin through, flushed cooling system out cos may have an air lock, still dropping! Not sure if water pump is leaking yet will test it...
Any ideas other than that apart...
