I use a wireless 108mbps Netgear adapter for my desktop pc in my room and a netgear router downstairs, and get good signal all the time. never drops, runs at 4 meg
Hope your right. I'm off to try get my old man off the phone so I can ring be. Will post back in this thread with what they can offer.
cheers for the advice Ad
Valid point. I also hope that the speed doesn't alter with time.
Still, for now, anyone else reading this, Be Broadband is poop, you really don't wana sign up ;)
true. imo all of the ISP's get slower over time, there really is no right or wrong when comparing the top ISP's available in your area, so many factors influence the overall connection
bugger me! I have some serious catching up to do.... think I'll have to get Be, simply for the highest speed available.
Lol, I'm on 4 meg right now and 1 meg would feel like dial up!! sod that, ever again, EVER.
I really really want HD now! :(
Lee, which packages include Eurosport and Motors TV? I'd need any car related channel aswell as all Sky Sports channels most definitely. No doubt my sister, will ask for all the MTV AND music channels and thus hog the TV!!
jeez, you guys are heavy downloaders compared to me. I'm no where near filling my 250GB hard drive on my Dell yet!
Still, if I switch to Be/Sky, that may change ;)
Nice. I really just want the footy but in HD would be great. Just found out I can get Be Broadband (24 meg) so will just be getting sky tv on it's own which will mean more tv package money for HD.
My Dad pays the Broadband :approve:
18/19 meg would be rather nice though seeing as I've never been on more than 4... our Orange service is also £18 a month and Be lite is £14 I see, but if we get sky tv, I could get the sky 16 meg unlimited for £10 a month.... decisions decisions! :)
nice to know I have options, that...
I have no idea? We're on Orange 4 meg a the mo, and speedtests have shown constant 3900kbps avg download speed so the equipment is working fine.
We asked to upgrade to 8 but they said it would cost £25 or something, so I thought I'd look into our availability to getting something quick like...
It says I'm 2.07Km from the Chislehurst exchange. That seems quite far to me but if your correct and I can get Be at 24 meg or Sky at 16 meg, I'm getting the hell of this 4 meg Orange broadband very soon!!
