^^ lol. I paid £245 for my 60mm springs & shocks, Im also a student, but work at tesco part time :( lol The cheaper option is get yourself some 40mm springs (anylower and youre dampers will be wrecked in 6 months) for about £50, then lower the torsion bar to suit..- James.

Nice car ;) I agree they are quite enjoyable to drive and have good kit for the age. Just sat mine on apex shocks & springs, mucho difference, handles alot better.- James.

torsion bar
Story Fitted some apex springs & shocks to my mk1 recently. Had problems with the torsion bar so decided to take it to a garage to be done. Been to 10 different places this morning, ranging backstreet, cheap & cheerfull to big places like citroen. 8 of the 10 places say they would not do it, to...- James.
