pmsl. My accelerometer is fucked.
Got to book an appointment with the "genius bar" who will take a look and then replace the phone, not too bad considering it was from O2. I was in the bloody apple store earlier as well, I'd bloody noticed it not working right at that point but hadn't thought...
Works fine for me.
Mobileme is currently having a few "issues"....pushing works fine when the servers are happy. I'd expect once the initial surge dies down everything will be instant as expected.
Me too. It looked like it was doing a UK tour! I was not amused.
I thought it was going to take ages to activate and that it wouldn't be working for ages, but within a couple of minutes of turning it on it was making and receiving calls.
How many DHL monkeys does it take to deliver a parcel?
They have no idea where it is. They took it for a drive at 8:47 yesterday morning and it's dissappeared.
Way to go. Even i'm finding this funny and it's my phone the f*****s have lost.
Basically, they've stopped "normal" applications from running in the background, for imap idle (i.e push) to work, the application needs to keep a connection open to the imap server and issue the idle command every 'x' minutes this will only work if the app is running.
They have "push services"...
New o2 user, 16GB, approx 9:05am.
I've got my telephone number now! :)
They seem to be processing them from the shipping area in random order. It appears that if you got an order number from them, then you'll get what you ordered.
There's people who ordered before me who are still showing...
"No, I'm just queuing up for a k850i, I wouldn't be sad enough to queue for an iPhone"...
...just repeat those words and you'll be fine.
...don't look "them" in the eyes either.
It'll be raining & hailing, you'll get soaked, end up with pneumonia and have to spend the week in bed with your iPhone....or maybe that was the plane all along....spend bit of quality time with your "phone". ;)
That and the fact that it's utter crap under the hood. If you've ever done any Windows mobile development you'll know how utterly crap it is....it still brings me out in cold sweats.
Yeah...guess we'll all find out soon enough what they've done!
They could always have implemented their own extensions to imap for "push" though which I'm hoping isn't the case...
