I saw a 3G at a party this weekend, although the owner wasn't allowed to let anybody touch or photograph it! The shiny back looks far better than the original.
This is what the wintel "macs are overpriced, I could get a better spec. yada. yeada" bell-ends don't understand.
My G4 quicksilver tower is still used today and it still feels fast as hell. Plus it still has some value! A wintel PC of similar era, well, you might be able to swap it for 2...

My boss had 2 drives go (luckily while I was in Australia) the same day - and no, he hadn't been backing up.
Drives went off for recovery and nothing came back. Utterly trashed.
I'd use mingw over cygwin any day of the week
But...
Why not install Visual C++ Express http://www.microsoft.com/express/
It's far better than either of those because it has an IDE.
(ok, mingw & cygwin you can use eclipse, but it's still not a patch on VC)
Your problems is not with OS X, what you've bought is just an ethernet router with ADSL WAN gateway, OS X doesn't care. It's just IP packets.
Unless that particular ADSL router doesn't actually function as an ADSL router then replacing it with another is not going to fix anything.
The router...
The red light on your "internet" connection on the router is the clue.
You've not put the correct login/password details into the router, double, no, triple check them and try again.
It's all wasted time & effort though (imho). I pretty much skip any site that is all flash as I can't browse how I want to - opening links in tabs etc.
Flash is the work of the devil!
They're normally spot on. :( Will hit hard.
Ironically I know somebody in the ipod special applications group, but you'd have more luck getting blood from a stone than information from them!
Huh. I reckon you should get a t-shirt made up.
"My other server's a HP".
You know, like "My other car is a ferrari".
Sad thing is, you could probably sell them to hp geeks. ;)
Daz just sits in front of his servers all day wearing his tommy hilfiger summer jacket and letting the ladies admire him from a distance....ladies love the server.
To be safe (and to make sure you don't delete select the wrong partition), I'd erase the D: partitition in Windows so that it's unallocated.
That way you'll be absolutely sure that you are installing it to the write place.
As the link from griff above, ubuntu knows about the windows loader...
Daz, Boosh and Mike speak sense.
I'd say it's the other day around, unless you have a specific reason for going for a desktop then I'd always buy a laptop. So many more advantages.
pmsl.
You should have seen the smoke and the top fly off a chip the other week when my boss accidentally connected a high current 12V supply to a 5V rail......
nothing..nothing...bang...tio of chipi flying across the room...smoke..smell...whoops.
Theres a lot to be said to plugging...
