Depends on how you drive and what kind of driving you will be doing. The 172 can be quite economical but I guess if you are thinking about a V6 then there is no point keeping it - diesel is the way forward. There are plenty of options out there.

Other than the 3 cylinder cars you get from Toyota, Pug and Citroen etc, 1.2's are pretty much the slowest cars on the road, with a few exceptions. "Nippy" is just a word that is used by people who have not driven faster cars. Saying that, faster isn't always better.

Profound, Fred. I'm not slagging the 1.2's but this video doesn't prove anything. And yes, Sport owners think their cars are fast as fook, but then so do a lot of 1.2 owners, so same rules apply. Whilst both are fun, that's where the performance camparisons stop. They are light years apart. IMO.

Yes. If that's a Sport in front then he was tickiling the go pedal on the first straight or the 1.2 ain't standard. Corners - fair enough as it was a tight circuit.
