Yes you do have to. what you can get away with is not doing the full aux belt kit if it was done very recent. you will need to do full cambelt kit dephaser aux belt only. if your fussy do the lot ~ 550 although thats for a 182 for a 172 cup it will be cheaper ​s

I used Elite on the Flamer- that did a crackerjack job- the flamer goes round bends on rails- However I was slightly taken a back by the pricing- It was like £60 which I was happy with - then suddenly £120 after some adjustments :(

No service history will possible dephaser = Service, Cambelt kit, Aux belt kit, depasher pulley which is the thick end of £550/600 - Your 1.9k car is suddenly heading towards 3k with still no service history bar 1.

Or I could just tell you 100% thats had a front end respray. Thats not to say its been crashed but either- Sprayed to repair marks or sprayed due to damage S
