What did you use to get your bumpers all fresh? For the Bora's rubstrips I had that Halfords bumper paint stuff, not sure if the bumpers are a bit "too big" on the mk1 for a good finish though?

Yeah, any spare money I have is now going on getting the engine running nice. But it feels like wasted money, hence why the GT engine and running gear is a very tempting proposition.

In slightly less depressing news.. £30. Found a MK2 with a brand new Ignition Coil and Distributer, and I took it's wiper motor.

Car has the standard engine? Paint is faded, missing LOTS of lacquer. Everyone always says "Wow, it looks a LOT worse than the pictures". LOL! I don't mind that much but it'd be nice to get a respray some time.

Bearing in mind I've ploughed at least £2k into this, I doubt you could make a tempting offer for me! haha. Keep looking at MK3 TDi Estate's for Dailys, I can't even afford this! What am I like!

A Grand, but when I got it the engine was running sweeeeeeeeeeeet! I'll never get back the money I've thrown into this thing. Yep, everything adds up VERY quickly.

Things that are pissing me off/ things that need doing: The engine - It needs a new one, no doubt. This one is shite. Can I afford a new one? Not really, no. The smell - It gets old, and annoying. The paint - It's s**t The Window rubbers - They are perished to s**t.

I'm about to kill myself, probably. I just don't want this car to have the satisfaction of killing me, as it's already had the satisfaction of draining me emotionally, financially and physically.

It comes with the ECU and loom and everything, plus my mate James is good with wiring (in fact, he enjoys it) so that will be sorted.
