Without wishing to start a billion page thread...is the noise that much different? Obviously if it was fitted to restrict noise...why have i answered my own question?? lol
Mark....Do you find those figures accurate? (letstorquebhp.com)
If so that is a pretty nice setup and still very much a day to day car as iirc you still have the back seats in etc.
Changing to lightweight wheels could probably save you 15-20kg too.
Just paid £77 each fitted and balanced...205/45/16 83 V....was pretty pleased.
To the original poster...check mytyres.co.uk and costco...they should come in at under £100 each quite easily.
Agreed with Thomas,i haven't hit the limiter yet now its raised to 7,800 simply because peak power has been and gone and it screams like nothing else i've heard and i'm scared of it going BANG!!! lol
There are a few guys on here who have 172's and under 20. Ben_P was one of them iirc. Try making a post in the insurance section and asking about prices etc
Yeah bike engined...my first car was a smart car back in 2001....i knew the guy developing the engine and the bracket to hold the beast in...absolutely mental fun
As youtube is blocked here i'm guessing we're talking about the Golf R32? 2 friends have got one here and in everyday road situations there is no difference until after 100.
For example...we both exit a roundabout and gun it...neither pulls away
I too live in the gulf and so far have covered 44k. Not had a single problem,it kinda grates me people bang on about paper quality.
It seems to vary from car to car IMHO...not had a squeak out of mine. Loving every minute too.
