Bollox to it. Im saving for a 172/182 now. Dunno how long it will take but I wont be satisfied until I get one will I ! By that time I will have at leat 2/3 years no claims so the insurance should be manageable.

right, ill have to seriously look in to the 1.6 then. With a k-tec zorst system and Piper X filter with relocation, how much extra bhp will that release from the 1.6? Atleast I can then starting thinking about other mods, such as chips etc, which just isnt an option with my 1.2.

The 1.6 is always going to have that 11bhp extra, but would the max amount of BHP gained from tuning be about the same do you think? Are 1.4s cheaper to buy that a 1.6 im guessing...

Yeah, I think the BHP of the 1.4 is 98bhp and the 1.6 110bhp? But as tuning and insurance is not a problem, then I could tune the engine up a bit and gain a few BHP?

A 1.4 what exactly? As Ive said, ive raced 1.4 Polos and Pugs and left them for dead! Ofcourse you lose performance with passenders, its only a diddy 1.2 16v! Guess what, youll lose performance in a 1.4 8v too!

I have left 1.4 8v Polos and Pug 1.4 8vs. I believe the Polos are only 60-65bhp. But I do have a filter and full zorst system but not when I left the Pug.

Ive had it on my 1.2 16v. Doesnt stay on thou but wants tocut out. Happens on really hot days, I think its my filter personally, or some fault.

Hi Just read the post about the guy who got attacked due to under taking. Is this overtaking in the first lane of the motorway and is it illegal? Also, is flying past people in the 3rd lane while your in the 2nd lane undertaking aswell?

When I was 17 I smashed up 2 cars, had no license, no tax, no insurance and no MOT and the car was in my name. I speeded off and sold the car that same day. Somebody got the plate number and I was recieving letters asking for my details etc. I kept blagging them saying I sold that car months ago...
