One week the exhaust came of pretty much everyday which drove me mad... so the car ended like this LOL.. from full car to bare shell in 24hours all my own work :)
THE END....R.I.P 2006-2007..... Can you see a pattern here lol
Thanks for reading
Winston
This car was much lower than the black hybrid... I doubt you would find a lower Mk1 in the uk
Due to it being so low and sh*t UK roads.. I used to tw*t the sump & rip the exhaust off on a weekly bases... Being so low it had to be rolled onto wood - scissor jack - Trolley jack to refit it...
Now because i did a sh*t paint job on the wheels and the fact they were white the brake dust just ate the paint.. So also being bored with white i painted the bright orange
Parked with sambos old RT
Showing Immi what a low car is ;)
Due to ECU / imobliser problems, the car never made FCS 07.. I got it running the day after the show lol, after I got an ECU from grey :).. The Ph3 front end wasn't really working so i refitted the valver stuff and went off to get some pics so i could show it off lol
By now FCS 2007 was coming up and i wanted to do something different for the show. as the car had a 106 Rallye-ish theme, I thought why not rip the valver lump out and Fit RSi 8V... the old lump was a slow one so seamed like a good idea.. A road spec light weight warror
So i set to work...
The car was starting to take direction... With the car having steel wheels It reminded me of my 106 rallye. So i went off the the local scrapyard and raided the low model
clio parts bin
Windy windows and bogo plastic door cards
Non pop out rear windows
Lots of blanks, etc etc for the...
I was still having trouble finding the right wheels for it and came across so rare Renault fitment Mattig 7x13 steel wheels on german ebay... so after a quick shop.. I wired the money to germany
Fitted.. I had to fit Clio RSi front brake in order to get the 13's on
After I had scrapped my Black 16V... I had a few other Clios but i really wanted another 16V to make my own.. As luck would have it I got my hands on 90k Nreg Silver 16V for pretty much free... it had a problem with the subframe and needed new engine mounts
First job was... change the...

Just for you Daniel :)... now fit standard lights ;) LOL
Yes they are the ktec mounts but i got them from someone selling up an unfinished project on ebay for £50 :)
Then it came to an end... I sold most the parts but kept a few for a future projects
THE END... R.I.P 2004-2006
This is without a doubt the fastest car ive ever owned and no car i have built since has ever touched it for handling or pace... I was sorry it ended this way but sh*t happens...
Times started getting hard for me and i was forced to sell my wheels and run these rather rat looking 16v steels... went well with the bonnet, but it was pretty much down hill from here
Times got even harder trying to save a failed business venture and the engine came out to be sold...
With the carbon bonnet being a prototype it was not perfect.. thus i found out at 110mph on the M6 when i lost the top layer of carbon skin lol
I had to fit another bonnet... which gave it a kind of ratty sleeper look lol
The weekend before FCS I polished the engine up and wound the coilovers... only problem being the torsion bar was seized (to be sorted once i was down there ;) )
We filled the boot with garden flags at David16v's house to lower the back end lol, the car had a rusty arch also but i was...
I then took the car to York drag strip for GTi spectacular.. The car ran a 14.9 on its first run and my best time at the end of the day was a 14.3 @ 99mph, I was more than happy with that
With FCS2006 coming ever closer.. I had formed a good friend ship with David16v owner of Carbonnut, I...
So i set about building it back up... It started first time, I was over the moon lol
Gazebo down
I sold the porsche wheels and bought some brand new Ronal Turbos and fitted PE2's with them fitted it went for the tracking set and General check over with a mate who is manger ATS...
Gibbo also came to lend a hand... so the 3 of us set about getting the engine back in, we were sure the williams engine was bigger.. such a tight fit lol
And its in :)
The gearbox cleaned and painted
The engine fitted with all the new parts, pretty much ready to go back in
The gearbox on and it up and ready to go back in (nicks help once again)
Nick came round again and we got the subframe off, as it looked a mess compared to the engine
Subframe being painted
Built back up.. Inc Manual rack (in my mums kitchen, love you mum lol)
Sump being painted
It was starting to look the part
I had been polishing cam cover and inlet manifold for months for the old engine, so finished them and new bits i needed arrived from BBTuning
Now at this point i was newbie to anything engine related, I got alot of help from my mate nick to do the widetrack (well he fitted it all lol).. but now he lent me his tools and threw me in at the deep end, I set about stripping the engine, ready to pull it out the car, so up went a gazebo in...
Then I had lots of problems with the car and I did not having a clue, it was sent to a local garage for repairs as least once every month... Clutch, Core plug, altenator, it was problem after problem.. it cost a small fortune and was a down side to owning a Clio 16V
I then bought some more...
