No it isn't! 30k is easliy liveable on. You don't NEED to send te kids to private school, drive a 5mpg gas guzzler, have 4 holidays a year and a f**k off big house. They are all lifestyle choices from being paid lots of money. "If" someone was struggling on 30k per year after dropping down...

I wouldnt say 30k is a "poorly paid job".

Oh of course but I'm trying to put across the point that just because he was able to earn x amount before going away doesn't mean you should "expect" to walk straight back into a job on the same wage. (unless of course your very lucky or have a nice boss like mine)

I'd happily take a ten grand pay cut doing the same job I'm doing now. Just to not be a f**king bum/dole scrounger. It also shows I'm not a greedy b*****d. (I have taken a job with a company earning less then what I should get paid, whilst I looked around for another job I telecoms)

I know. If anyone ever came for a job at my place and said "I expect to be on 35k a year and not 30k" I'd tell them where to go.

I hate people who say "I won't get out of bed for less then 25k a year or £10 per hour etc" I'd rather have a job earning slightly less then what the "Market" says I "should" be on. At least it is money coming in. Shows you not afraid to work.
