Yeah they'l be fine. Wet Mirror finish is an odd one as its sold as a sealant but its more of a glaze. Its sold as a "gloss magnifier" and even though it is in the sealant section id say its in between a glaze/sealant. It doesnt seem to have the properties of a sealant or the filling properties...
Aye it does seem a bit deeper. As said though I just stopped using a glaze, seal then wax purely because of the time taken. And the difference wasn't "that" different to me so didn't see the point. I think it's harder to see the difference on dark cars though.
On my new car I gave it a good wash...
Knock yourself out. I just found the time taken to add glaze and take it off then add wax take it off made no difference other then adding 2 hours to my cleaning regime! :o
Yep you can. Although mixing different "brands" is a bit of odd area.
But generally yeah you can. I used Chemical Guys Wet Mirror Finish before Dodo Blue Velvet Wax a few times on the Monaco. But To be honest the need for a glaze is not worth it if the car is polished correctly. If it is...
Nice coupl of hundred quid there 2 ;)
Im not too sure about those wheel brushes though. I find when pulling it out from the wheel the bristles flick back and cover you in all the s**t! Plus my end cap broke on mine after a little while :(
Think one of these type might be better...
I cant notice any difference between the normal 360 and 720p versions.
I was more on about the aulity of the game on the TV..I quite like HDMI not VGA!
Tell me about it! tried to fit a HID kit on saturday and fix a leaking headlight (keeps filling up with condensation) and its another bumper off job! Fckued if I could get half the clips off though! :(
Will give it another go this weekend
On black id go for poorboys black hole then your wax.
Red mist isnt a sealent that goes on before wax..its a protection detailer that goes on after waxing
edit oh and if it were me id add a shampoo after your clay process.
I know how to do that!
You,,,use this amazing car cleaning stuff,,,, It doesn't require you to use water! ITs awesom,,,cararvan site people loved it,,,
Yes smooth peanut butter contains oils that break down any polish residue on the plastic.
Groundnut oil is actually what you should use but peanut butter contains this and is cheaper.
Then use some bumper care stuff and it will look as good as new. :)
£25 squid I think (might be £30??)
There are 2 different ypes though a big one and a small one.
This is the larger one..
large one part No. 7414X1
Small one part No. 7414NQ
(From pug dealers of course)
:)
Dont need to bother spraying it if it is plastic?
If its plastic clean it back properly with some smooth peanut butter then use some trim restorer on it.
Or use WD40
What a bunch of fags!
On a serious note update the thread once you have done it.. need to find something better then CG new Look Trim for my archliners.
I bought a load of Microfirbres from screwfix that I use for engine bay/wheels etc.
I spray Megs APC (or Daisy..its just as good for 99p!!) and use the damp Microfibres to wipe it off. I seal mine with 303 Aerospace..which incidently I didn't realise you should leave for 2 hours or so to cure...
I found certain mitts seemed to bring my Monaco out in swirl marks.
Notable a synthetic Lambswool mitt (this one in fact)
Now switched to a chenile type one..
And used those for 12 months and hardly any swirls in comparison to the first one.
At first I put it down to shampoo used but I...
Bilberry IMO.
Can be had from Matt at i4detailing off here (get a discount too). Or maybe some Iron cut (ive yet to use that)
Bilberry is very good value for money.
