I did this with me, when downloading a film overnight it would stop, and id have to reset it. I'm on CAT5 not USB. Im using newsgroups now, and I can download 10GB in a night. No connection breaks! So my advice to you is to sign up to newsgroups.

to a OS to get the most out of dual core it needs to support it ie. vista. Why dont you opt for a Athlon64 X2 as the cpu you want is designed for servers. Why do you want to upgrade the BIOS? just download the latest off the DFI site and the will be suffice.
