aye the cold kills batteries, as you start it its drawing so much power there isn't enough left to give juice to the trip so it looses all its saved data.
That's b****cks. They're a direct swap unless you have one of the first ph1's in whch case you need to widen the door holes slightly to make them fit. And they do NOT leave a line on your door.
Do the 1*2's (including ph1) have VVT ?
Only reason I ask is a mate who's a mechanic has offered to do my belts for cheap but I told him it had VVT and he swears blind that it doesn't.
What can I tell him to make him understand that they do ? (If they do)
Tar.
I got my 182 at 19 and now I have a 172, they're a piece of piss to drive and only give you trouble when you're looking for it. Insurance isn't too bad now but I am 20.. I pay £900

197's are an insurance group lower than a normal 172/182 and two lower than a 172 cup so I imagine 200's are the same. It was cheaper for me to insure a 197 then my old 182.
You will be able to get it just under £2000 if you have a clean licence. That's the best you can hope for though. If you can afford a brand new 200 I'm guessing 2-3k insurance isn't too much of a problem.
Re: ***How much is my car worth?***
ph1 172 silver, mint condition good history needs belts doing coilovers all the upgrades from ph2 apart from the spoiler and bumper. Minty fresh. 63k miles x reg.
I was thinking £3k considering the coilovers etc ? had a lot of money spent on it getting it to...
