youd love the williams then....pure raw drivers car ;)
not driven the 197, but been up against a few now, and very capable cars they are too........more so than the 17/82 s id say .only been in 1 197, round spa, and the lass driving was really enjoying herself, throwing into corners etc...
sorry was going off your 31% per second gain, and rounding up/down
and you think a 14.1 is great??
thats only a 17.9% increase for the huge outlay from a standard one. lets work this out, cars price, what £4-5k? + about another £4k mods ish.
so thats 100% of the value of the car...
so the remap on mine made a 15% improvement. not bad for £300 lol. chip wizards....now theres ya man ;)
the cams made a measly 6.2% improvement.
engine std. 14.6
with cams 14.4
cams n remap 14.0
and no. i wouldnt say a 14.0 is good for the mods done.
this is a time the mk1s...
lol.all what money??
the mods iv done would cost far less than buying an f4r, and weighing up modded f7 against stock f4.......sorry but theres no competition.
but then if i did fit an f4......why?? what possible gains could be had over the f7??
lol....not mine. dont know whats been done to it. but an 1800 to get that low would be using the easy option (nos) or seriously seriously tuned.
a 2.0 however.....would make that fairly easily if the cars stripped.
my old valver, with all seats and spare running on 16s used to run 15.9
as you like to point out....sensors etc. my car with bodies wasnt running a lambda, diff plugs on the loom and oe lambda, the map isnt right, the loom theres something not 100% with, the cams werent timed in, and still arent. lots to be done to fine tune/fettle/get running right. as iv told...
not always the case tho is it??
take chris n nics, monkeys sounds like a quick un, paddys old un, tim 'o's. all 14.0-mid14 cars in pretty much std trim. 1/2 a sec for the mods isnt good really. done properly they should be quicker all over the powerband not just top end.
yeah you...
and??
the 172s are supposedly, a lot more powerful than the williams. bringing the power/weigt somewhere near between the 2.
williams with zorst mods and rears seats/spare removed. 14.6. 1/2 sec slower than a seriously modded 17/82 ???? and the arguments are always over 172s beating...
yeah iv run pod lots of times lol.
williams 1, mods, cams, re-map, zorst.
time 14.0 @ 98 mph.
0-60 5.63
also run at york at lot too.
clip of it in action
http://youtube.com/watch?v=4sHSPoJKjt4
and a clip of my other williams on the bodies...
they be the 180s or the 240s??
we had a couple of the older erf s with the gardners, but the jennings lumped one was always quicker tbh. think about the quickest one we had was an old f89 volvo. used to go like foook, was quicker than the newer erf's e42s and the volvo fl10.
no offence. but you have bodies and you cant crack into the 13s???????
think you would be better off spending a bit of money on driving lessons tbh, itd be more valuable to you than more power, cos obviously you dont know how to use it. ;)
lol class.
even back in the day the mercs could outpace a cossie off the lights.
things to watch out for were the buses, old volvo ones with the auto box/lecy change. they were fair rapid too.
lol.....^^ why not??
i have 1 that is std, and 1 that i have stripped out, soon to be caged and track readied. proper williams' too ;) no.s 0051 and 0159
original question......wheels, not sure about. complete trim your lookin at around £150
2.0 n/a all the way imo
meg btm end, valver head. cheap way to get a decent power hike.
then head/cams. then bodies. and youl have a car that not a lot will get the better of.
but if its 0-60 times that your intrested in....stay off the bodies.
5.6 secs without, seems slower with tbh. altho they more than make up for it the higher the speeds get.
pah.
only 1/2 a job there lol. you could see the threads through the rubber, rim protector to thread was a perfect arc lol. no writing, no michelin man.....
i swear by em . as lee says tho. not ideal on track. they dont last very long. altho you will get a full day out of them if you dont mind having a bit of fun with the turn in. watch the sidewals disappear..lol
depends what you want it for tbh.
comfort..gotta be the williams. the mk 1 seats in the valver/willy are prob the comfiest seats in a std prod car, def of its time, poss even still so.
speed....again. the willy would take this, only just tho.
fun....theres only 1 car in this...can you...
aye. did get a bit scary. and the candles up front werent helpin me see the road , or anything else for that matter. limiters are there to be hit ;)
still.....all in good fun lol.
