Yes the 16vs have a pull up reverse gear knob! However im not sure if you need to get a special aftermarket replacement or not, mine came with a momo knob and as far as i can see the lift up part is the original, with the momo knob part on top....not 100% sure though! :D

Removing the door card shouldnt be too hard at all! Just some screws along the bottom, screwed in handle, then just pull away from clips and sealant! :) However, swapping the electric motor would be one hell of a bastid job!! :( I just spent saturday afternoon salvageing a leccy window...

If you put a tuned 5GTT lump in their itll be a feckin rocket!!! Jon from TT has in fact got an RT with a tuned 5GTT engine in it and it cains 16vs!!!

Torsion Tuning in Witham have done this on many an occasion!! :) Call Jon on 07949200705, i think its about £2k...

Sorry to sound like a broken record but im in exactly the same position as you guys!! :D No way itd be worth selling once im ready to move on! But hopefully by that time ill be minted enough to afford a proper nice second car, allowing to keep my beloved valver!!
