You can use a screwdriver to press against the compressor, and the handle near your ear. Then do the same near the head etc etc Its like a crude stethascope, but will point you the the area of the issue. Might be the aux belt tensioners/pullys?

OK, so the fan in the interior light panel has gone a little noisy. Been told this is a common issue. Anyone got a part number for a replacement?

sounds like a tensioner/idler. Deffo coming from drivers side of cam cover>?

I just called renault, on the off chance of checking whether my bonnet catch has ever been replaced under the recall. Gave them the reg plate, and they can't find any trace of the car, saying its possibly an import. Weird. I have to call them back with the chassis number to check that way...
