You'll get the rasp you want from the non-res centre section. I have a Milltek (so 2.5") with non-res centre section and it's really raspy, but obviously still a lovely tone on the throttle.
Those Scorpion SRN019's like you have are renowned for drone, my brother had one on his 182 years ago...
Separate spring. I'll be getting mine from Kam Racing, if you google search BC Coilovers Clio 172/182 Kam Racing you'll find them, there are two versions, the BR and DR.
Ah awesome, cheers for that! Looking forward to having an experiment with it when I get them on.
Not sure, was playing with the idea of one at Oulton in late summer, maybe towards the end of August. Would depend if anyone I knew was game really, doing track days on your own takes half the fun...
Yeah fair enough, sounds great then. Not terribly bothered about it being that soft on track within reason, at least not for the moment. Will still be a damn lot stiffer than my current sportlines which I didn't have any major issues with on track.
Don't understand this being different for the sake of it thing. I might go out wearing clogs, trackies and a tweed jacket tomorrow just to be different too.
I see! I did notice when I took it off that the plug that goes into it was slightly melted where it'd been taken off previously and must have been resting on the exhaust manifold. Can't remember if it was like that before we did the fluid on it, but all the connector pins are in tact so I can't...
Yeah if it comes back I'll give it a go. Got one on the 172 still so could even try that. Did top up the brake fluid when it originally started but we'll see, as you say the cap itself could be knackered.
On this, it went away the other night, came back for a little bit, then it's gone away and hasn't come back since lol. So it's off for now, just have to see if it comes back on again before I investigate further.
Yeah I thought it seemed like a good compromise. I'm hoping at that rate the damping should be good enough so it's not harsh, then I can turn it to max and it will be as hard as I need for track days.
Looking to buy some BC DR series coilovers at the end of the month, and I'm not sure what spring rates to go for. BC offer custom spring rates free of charge so it's just a case of meeting my needs. I've been told these new DR series BC's are a lot more compliant and comfortable too, then of...
Ahh right. Might have a look at that then. The steering wheel has never been straight but I've put it down to tracking in the past so maybe it could be the angle sensor?
Ahh right. I've had an ABS sensor go on my old car with similar symptoms.
You around tomorrow at all? Going to Liverpool so I could nip across the water quickly if you were. No worries if not, think I know another guy who had it at one point so I'll see if he still does.
