Yes... the surrounding, get a very thin screwdriver that will poke through the rubber, then open up the engine bay and see if you can see the other end of the screwdriver. If you can, carry on stabbing/trying to poke the wire through...it will eventually happen. Have faith! You can always...

I poked a screwdriver into the rubber, then tried to make a bigger hole in it. Eventually got the 4AWG through. Took f**king ages!!! Once eventually through...take the airbox out to gain access to it.

Re: South East Dent/scratch repair day I'm up for it if the OP could get some info on fixing a crease in the roof. Preferably a Sunday. May even be able to get a mate to come along...I know he wants a few things done on his Corsa.

Without airbags/hydros you won't be able to get low enough to pull them off. I don't think they're nice anyway...some sweet 17s with a dish would look pimping I reckon!

Took me f*cking ages. I basically stabbed a hole in the rubber grommet just below the back of the glovebox and fed the power cable through. You could drill a hole if you wanted to save time, that was done in my previous MK3. You'll then see it behind the airbox in the engine bay, pull it...

I don't mind cleaning it weekly...I only choose to clean it reguarly. Once its initially been detailed, hardly much of a hassle to keep clean afterwards.
