Pads move in the carriers sam, but I'll clean them anyway. Could there be a piston issue if the pads aren't pushing flush?or am I over tightening the carrier pin bolts? Torque setting?

They are pretty much identical engines so I would assume the cambelt would be the same. Hopefully one of the traders will confirm. All internals are the same (cams I think are) iirc

It's from just before the wear marks to the centre. Feels like wear is uneven

It's a but wierd the inside pads wearing at the same rate isn't it? Discs feel slightly curved as you run your finger from outside to hub. As if they have worn less at the middle. Ideas? Pads look ok don't they?

Are you asking if 172 and 182 engines use the same internals/belts? If so, yes

I'm going to strip them down tomorrow as I fear that could be the issue. Outer pads look ok, but I'm getting bad vibration, noise on the road :S I'll report my findings

I know a few assessors, and they wouldn't check the management on the car. FACT! It's mainly visual mods. Obviously SKY will tell you otherwise ;)

how do you do this on a clio. Is it just a case of take the angle grinder to the roof, and slot in the CF one? How would you fix it in place? Plus would it be structurally sound?

I'm sorry, but how much better can the human eye detect. Blue ray is pretty perfect to be honest. You'd have to have a monumental screen to make 1080p blue ray look crap.
