Few words before, wrong test ;)
It’s definitely a lot of fun. Surface dependent it can make a bit of a mess of your tyres, but it’s fun whichever way :)
Yeah, with regards to autosolo... You'll be fighting very hard if you're up against MX5s. With autosolo it's all about being small and lightweight, more than anything else. The heavier the car the slower it is at changing direction and accelerating (horsepower and tyres be damned!) and the...
I feel like I’m the only person to have gone Portsmouth-Caen on the ferry. Was only like an hour and a half of driving in France to get to Le Mans.
I’d love to go again next year. Best motorsport experience in the world.
I use OSRAM LEDriving ones. Only got the one set and they’ve been in the car forever. Great for interior bulbs too. I’ve tried all kinds and the OSRAM ones are definitely the best IMO.
Been gifted a HP pc with no sound apparently.
Has a 4790 (non K), 16gb RAM, GTX 1060 3GB. 250gb SSD.
I’m not sure what to do really. The processor and card are not really upgrades (OC’ed i5 4690K and 780ti respectively) for my PC. If I got it working what would people reckon it’s worth?
I’ve got the PC but no oculus, lol. Really want one though, VR is perfect for driving with a wheel, more so than anything else because you’re locked into a seat.
VR flying though....
Sorry I meant the 172, although I probably have seen the Escort too! I’m pretty sure it used to be owned by someone in Devonport Naval Base. Has it got a big exhaust on it?
Interesting that the Kumhos seem to talk more. TBH I'm so used to the PS4s I'd just take the extra wet grip but it's nice to know there's other options.
Also how dare you go doing mad skidz on the public road.
In my previous post I was going to put ‘Customer takes forever to pay for things then suddenly wants car back tomorrow’ but I thought it’d be a bit too controversial. Shoulda left it in.
Still curious as to what the plan was with the battery tray but hardly the end of the world.
The Lifecycle Of a Car Specialist.
Step 1: The Home Gamer
You have a performance car and are savvy enough with your tools to do most jobs on your driveway. You’ve got a few mates with the same car but they aren’t quite as confident with doing big jobs like cambelts etc, so you offer to do it...
If you’re going to spend anything, and trust me, that’s a mistake anyway, get some decent tyres and a cone filter so it makes silly grunty noises.
Then just concentrate on going flat out everywhere. Carrying speed in a low HP car teaches you a lot about driving fast.*
*don’t crash
Tbf I’m still using an i5 4690K. The only thing it really struggles with is FSX and that’s purely single core. Gaming is allll GPU these days. There are a few exceptions, GTAV for example.
