First time user Chris, I'd suggest:
Megs 2500 Grit
Megs 4000 Grit
Megs Backing Black (which you can cut up into smaller pieces)
Lots of washing up liquid and water
Then, as you say, touch up with G220 and SFX1 and a polishing pad (SFX2 if you have Sonus pads)

A1 in Bilston are the best though IME, but you're looking at £65 per wheel plus VAT
I always do mine first, to avoid water drying on paint on warmer days, and splashing from the wheels/arches onto clean paintwork.
Totally separate brushes, buckets etc too.
EZ Brush, Swissvax Brush and some Bilberry and you're sorted, with some Megs Super Degreaser for your tyres and arches...
My bonnet got 'egged' (Panther Black Fiesta ST) and I had a 'horse shoe' sized hole in the paint, which had gone through the clearcoat and paint down to primer and metal in some places!!
I filled it last week with a touch up pen from Ford, wet sanded using Megs 2500 then 4000 Grit with their...

I think you would have still benefited from using some SRP or Lime Prime/Lite to 'cleanse' the paint before waxing and after claying.
Does look great though!
