Theyre expensive, and if you get Renault to get hold of them (Like I am, cos one of mine is peeling!) theyll take an age over it, Im have to wait over a month before they can get any in the country, let alone get them to the dealer and get them fitted

Yeah, they are fantastic bits of kit!
On another topic, Im still trying to get my hands on the OMP strut brace that we saw when we had the tour of the garages, its code is MA-1850, if anyone knows where I could get one from (OMP in Italy havent been very helpful yet) Id be pleased to know...

JillyB - Im shocked, youve never waxed Thomas! (Ooo eerr)
Seeing as he was 16 (hundred miles) old when you got him, he may still be a virign, was he from birmingham though? cos then he probably aint ;)
The 1.4 sport is worth a fair bit more than the 1.4rt, well from what I found out when helping someone get another car. (They are rarer for a start, well thats what I found)
I think you should be looking for at least £400 over what parkers gives for a 1.4rt. Below are a couple I found on...

Simon172, Im still very tempted by this, but I would need to know exactly what the guy did when he fitted it.
Also, did you lose any functionality from the car? ie. immobiliser etc?

James - The Sat Nav antenna is an extra bit to the normal radio atenna on the back, Mine has a flat plastic piece at the front, and that is the antenna.
When the manual is talking about tickets/passes its talking about ones which can be electronically read from outside the vehicle - like the...

This sounds like the same patch that you get on 172s.
What (I think) it is for is the ticket that gets read for the toll roads in france. It is also the only place the radar detectors and GPS antennas will work, as the rest of the screen is sound deadened and UV reflective.
So, it can be...

I just cant believe that Renault make two parts that are exactly the same apart from the grille pattern, and one is 4 times as much as the other!!!!!! sickening really
Joe, Ive just talked to Renault again, and they are saying that the top grille for the 172 mk2 is part no. 6000 073 772, and its £167 (Dont know if thats +vat or not)
The part no. that you gave was for the standard mk3 clio (Or phase 3, whatever) like Freds Dynamique etc. and you are dead on...
