Aye, and the stick I'd get for not fitting mine for ages! :(
Got the KTR coilies & mounts fitted up at Cro's last week along with KTR rear discs as I had a bearing gone
(Also the night we had a fight with the bearing too)
Tracking etc done yesterday and 2 new rear tyres - love it!
In all fairness the bloody thing had held us back enough at that stage, and in the end it was useless taking the grinder to it anyway as the bearing was still stuck on the axle stub
Other power tools used that day were all for a good cause ;)
Drilling holes + K-Tec solid mounts = FTW!
Those McGuard lock-nuts are good - just be careful if you go to a garage
Some of them chew the teeth with impact guns :( mine need replaced soon but I've had them for about 4 years.
Nice sud-shots too ;)
Clay did the trick - tested it on a panel yesterday so going to run over the whole car tomorrow and give it a quick polish :D
Of course that will be after I get the tracking done & go for a drive to celebrate having the new suspension ;)
Did I not read on here somewhere that you need to support the weight of the engine with something while changing these mounts?
I could be wrong though :o
When you take these things in/out, is there something you can put on the rubber O-ring to lube/protect it from sticking?
When the AA guy fixed my recent issue he sprayed something on it as the O-ring looked old and dried up.
No idea what it was though :S
