Well tomorrow I get my 172, not brand new, 02 reg but it only has 9700 miles on the clock, just means that someone else has run it in for me ! :D I cannot wait now, since I sold my 172 last year, which I had from new, I have missed it ! The smile factor is priceless !

Picking up my new 02 172 on Monday, registered in March 2002 and has done just 9650 miles ! :D

I assume the blue one is yours, too shiny not to be really ! VERY nice colour, same colour as my 172 that I pick up on Monday ! Also, Cruise Control and ESP were both added to the 172 spec. last year so they are free on all new 172s since then. Enjoy yourself ! Awesome feeling picking it...

The car is 10 years old now, I dunno why but I dont think of 1994 as being that long ago ! Time is going too fast ! Looks in good condition from the pic on Auto Trader, 85000 miles.

Mate, according to several reports it shows the MKI 172 to be faster than the MKII 172, these stats seem to change from source to source so I would not worry about speed. Yes the Cup is the fastest of the standard 172 range but then you do lose equipment like leather seats, ABS, climate control...

I agree with that, lets go easy on the guy, it is his first post. Dont want newbies being jumped on as soon as they use the boards, makes it look as though they are not welcome. Just my opinion of course. Enjoy your new cup ! I am sure you will !

At the end of the day it comes down to which one you like the look of most as styling seems to be the biggest factor in your decision from what you say. Go for the one YOU like the best, try and test drive both and go from there.

Phoned up Renault today and they have confirmed that the car comes with 3 year warranty and is on their system ! KEWL ! :D
