your in a front wheel drive ffs...........
anything more is just useless and unuseable power!
you could have 300-500bhp if you really wanted but the car wont last very long at all.
yup course they do!
EvilJohn (he's gay) has a good guide for changing them.
If youre gonna do it put a thread up and me, him, vinny, clio g-b and a couple of others will be more than happy to help with any quiries :)
thats what I was talking about craig, cos I will be 19 then with 1 ncb, my insurance is still gonna be over £900 tho and thought if I spent out a bit more I might be able to get a 172 and pay a bit more for the insurance.
If I ever meet an underwriter in the future I'll make sure I give them a...
I will have 1 NCB in may, but that wont hardly dent a 172 policy of my own lol
thanks for your help guys. looks like a diffinate no no and 10 lines on the lottery sat hehe
i think mum has a fetish for the leather seats really lol, beats her mk1 ph2 diesel
Oh and I'll be back home in Oz...
already is mate, as said I work mon - fri and only use the car on the weekends. mum uses it in the week when bro has her car. so technically she is driving more than me, thus invalidating her insurance on my policy??
ahhh thats gay!
looks like I'll have to get a new bike instead then :) least I can do 0-60 in 2.5 secs and go to 140mph+ for insurance for under £500 FC.
Insurance really has got stupid aint it.
I dont mind my lil 1.4, its plenty quick enough for what i need, just might have the oppertunity...
So if my mum has a bump in my car tomorrow my insurance is gonna be invalid for her claim
better get her taken off asap...
I can understand where you are coming from, for this reason is why I have my own policy and threw £1466 into tescos bank account last year.
But I dont really use my...
hows that breaking the law?
surely if your a named driver you can drive the car?
the NCB I will have wont be any use, I cant afford £3k insurance like some.
well I'm at work mon-fri and only use my car on the weekend and very occasionally in the evening so that would make her the main driver...
I have my own policy at the mo, and its gonna be 900ish to renue in may, thought a 172 in mummys name might not be much over that...
you gotta stop smoking that stuff chap ;) lol
yeah I've got the puppies warm in their lil box still :)
and spare fog surrounds from big yin :)
and spare boot lock that I found in my boot :)
so just gotta whip the spoiler off when I get there o monday
anyone know roughly what I'm looking at, might be a silly idea but mum said she would buy my car off me to share with my brother, then I could get a 172 :D
If I was to be a named driver on my mums insurance for a mk1 172
a) how much roughly would it cost
and
b) where could I get it, tesco wont do an online quote for me... :(
its not an electrical fault mate.....
the only electrical thing is plugging the thing in.
the slider units f**k up and the whole thing just needs replacing...
as Fred said, Matt probably cheapest or there are new ones on ebay too.
is prob just the connection under the seat as mentioned above.
disconnect the battery, leave it say 10/15mins.
spray the connections with a electrical contact cleaning spray, wipe clean then plug back in.
that should sort that out :D
