The Key is normally on the certificate of authenticity or on the CD or on the CD packaging. The place you bought it from should have given you some way to reinstall windows.... i believe this is standard practice. I'd give them a bell mate.

Just make sure you are clear about how to reinstall windows or have someone on hand to help before you go ahead. If you format and then find the CD isn't bootable and has to be run from within windows then you'll be a bit buggered!

You should have some sort of CD with Xp on so that you can reinstall when things like this happen. Have a look through whatever came with it. If not then contact the place that sold you the machine and see if they can help out. Failing that you would have to part with some cash to purchase a...

as the pc is now... put the XP cd in the drive and restart (you need to make sure that the CD or DVD drive is set as a boot device). When the pc starts it will tell you to press a key to boot from CD. Once you do this all you then need to do is follow the on screen prompts i.e. format as NTFS...

SP1 for XP corrected that problem. In this case the limit is the BIOS as confirmed by the AOpen website.

it's a bios limitation, not a windows problem. Newer boards should support over 137Gb. She got her board last year... i guess that's not new enough!

Mrs has a 200Gb drive in her pc. Unfortunately due to bios limitations, only 137.4Gb is recognised. I know this can be solved by installing a card and plugging the drive into that. My question is... would the drive need reformatting so that all 200Gb would be recognised or will it instantly be...

perhaps not the best solution but WM Player isn't great anyway but why not install winamp and use that as the default player and see what happens? You can always uninstall it....

I totally agree... sitting that far from a screen takes everything out of the game play. I've got my xbox hooked up to my 17" TFT running at 1280x1024 now and it's a hell of a lot more fun. Does anyone know if F.E.A.R will be available on xbox?

I think a normal sound blaster live card picked up cheap from ebay does the job coupled with surround sound with built in amp. Don't think you need to spend the above on a card when you're only going to use it for mp3's. Up to you though :)

no pic, my 1st car was a bog standard mk1 1.2 with a sunroof and 5 spoke alloys. We all have different tastes.... tastes that change and develop with age. To be blunt... you will get stick driving that.

I am completely lost for words. .... at least you're happy and proud of it!

To buy a car then not drive it for fear of racking up the miles is insane IMO!
