the best thing for alloys is keep them clean from new, i.e dont allow brake dust to stop on them to long, this involves cleaning them 2 or more times a week depending on how much you drive, if you do this then good old car shampoo will remove all the debris i also apply a wax to them every so...

it may need topping up, but when you put new pads in you will push the calipers out so fluid will fill the resevoir up again so you may be ok
