Sounds an excellent move Mark. I think the move to Rockingham will help resolve a lot of the issues Pootle and myself raised at the meeting. Sounds like a great move to me!
Rockingham should be a great venue for it. Everything should be much closer together, facilities will be better and track action has the potential to be much better too.
True, I started looking at alternatives in 37" which is more the size I want, and to be honest they all have problems when you start reading through the threads. Pain in the ass if theres a problem, but there doesnt seem to be any difficulty in sending them back if you get a dodgy one.
Have been looking at this TV for ages over on AVForums and had seen your posts.
Looks excellent, shame i've decided its just too big for my living room.... Looks like i'll be spending more money on something smaller and not as well specced :(
Not Wythall specifically, although i did spend all Saturday driving in and out of Birmingham and Solihull and was in Hall Green on Sunday morning, so i was in the area.
I'm quite often in Solihull at Touchwood or something if i'm in the area for the weekend, so you may have seen me.
It's a 172 with an aftermarked twin exhaust. It's only the 182's that have the exhaust like mine. It has aftermarket wheels on it too, which i quite like actually, look like konigs or something.
Yep, that would have been me, was there visiting family this weekend. :D
There's a black 172 for sale parked just off the evesham road by the Salmon Tail, do you know the owner? Have seen it about before.
I got them from a guy down in Plymouth who was leaving the country. He had them on his Mk1 clio.
They are still my favourite wheel, and i think the really suit the clio.
I'd still have them now if i didn't have the Trophy where you kind of have to stick with the original wheels.
Yeah, i've seen the guy with the sunstrip loads of times, although not lately.
He was quite often at the Esso garage on the corner of Bournemouth road and Leigh road.
Good pics Jon, i'll have a look at the few i took later see if any are worth posting. It was getting a bit dark by then though so i think they'll be fairly rubbish.
Yeah as always it seems a trip to Goodwood = freezing cold.
Was good to catch up, looked like Paul and Rich enjoyed the day :D
One thing that people often overlook though is that although the engine might produce a bit more power, the air that the car is driving through is more dense which increases drag, so wether the car would be any quicker is debatable. This is a common problem with aircraft.
yep, air is more dense as temperature decreases, and more density means more oxygen molecules for a given volume of air. Oxygen is needed to burn the fuel, so more oxygen means more fuel burnt thus more energy released.
I think.... :S
Have just downloaded and tried out the ring. Excellent fun, not too far off the real thing accuracy wise I didn't think. Some of the kerbs are too high though, bit of a nightmare in the Saleen! Going to try it in a GT3 RS now i think, i'll post a lap time later.
True, but Windows Media Center can control the Sky box and switch the channels using an IR transmitter supplied with the remote, so it still works fine with the media center program guide.
Right, 1.27.610 is as good as i've got this evening at Donington in the Saleen (super soft, low fuel etc)
As you can see i was slightly up on the next lap, but ended up in starkeys bridge :clown:
Think I could probably do a lucky banzai lap in the 1.26's but not consistently. Respect to...
