1.8 8v is 1794 (RSI and RT - which incidently is 95bhp) 1.8 16v is 1764 2.0 16v is 1998 and yes that is right, 8v is a higher cc.

1.8 RSI was 1.8 8v (110bhp). The valver is a 1.8 16v (137bhp) the williams is a 2.0 16v (150bhp). They never made a 1.7.

will take a gander at the green one, the little book in store that has what oils are recommended showed the equivalent halfords one as the bright purple so thats the one ive been getting

valvers DRINK oil, think it just needs topping up, Ive done mine twice since the last service.

i find t-cut good too, pop down halfords they sell all sorts of crap for removing scratches

im guessing but most alarms have a valet option which is activated by pressing the buttons on your fob iin some sort of bizare sequence maybe you activated this so when youre locking the car the alarm isnt actually activating anymore... hence the indicators dont flash? total guess that...
