What part has melted? The bulbholder on the end of the wire? Or the actual light cluster on the front? Which ever it is you need to place it.

I'll give you one word of advice, buy a expensive gear knob to replace it, I had a cheapo one from halfords at first and it kept falling off, it was also 100% metal so in the summer it was too hot to touch and in the winter it was too cold to touch lol. The sparco one is perfect!

Well.... Its glued onto a piece of plastic which is PROPERLY stuck on, so I took a fan heater to it for 10 mins then used an adjustable spanner to twist it off, alternatively you can saw it off but that makes a mess :/ If your ever in Kent pop round mine and I'll do it for you ;) Oh FYI...

Solder the connections on the bulbholder back together? Or get a new bulbholder on its own, only like £5 from the breakers. Did you get the wrong wattage bulb or something?

The sparco one? You have to melt the original one off, then you bolt this little piece of metal to the of the gear stick, which the sparco one screws onto. I'll get you a pic if you like.
