I'm sure a decent machinist could make you a pair, but i doubt it would be much cheaper than buying new. Unless you have a mate who's a machinist of course ;)
I'm happy with my Maxogen, and it looks p**n, but given my time again it would be panel filter and modified CAF to standard airbox. I believe my Maxogen is better than a panel filter.... but not enough to justify the cost. However I did pay £300 for a new Maxogen and had more money than God at...

Yes it's not mind blowing in a straight line for a near 200bhp car.... but apart from that I couldn't really fault it. If I had the money the 172 would be chopped in in a heartbeat.

Gearbox on 172 ph2 is geared for 144. 148 on 182. With standard limiter of course.
All very interesting but completely pointless. My 172 races up to a bout 120-125 then hits a brick wall tbh. That's where most (more powerful) cars come sailing past in my experience.

They run to a budget. And they can have a straighter feed to the throttle body becuase there's no ancilliaries in the way (battery etc). And as far as I'm aware they have to use standard parts for the Clio Cup.
Does anyone have any proof that the ph1 airbox is as good? or is it yet more...
