The best, and cheapest, option id to simply get a panel filter for the OEM airbox for about £40. It's not perfect but it's a darn sight better than anything pipercross have ever come up with.

Yep the engine is seemingly the most reliable part. Niggly electrical faults and general build issues apply to all of them. Commonest fault I have seen on the mk2 ph1 172 is the cable for the throttle snapping or sticking.

Nick Hill only lowered about 35mm at he front and 15-20mm at the rear iirc. Certainly nowhere near as much as the majority of cars on here.

Unless you knew that the Cup didn't have one (which few would off the top of thier head) then they did the right thing by pointing it out. I'd wager there are a few garages that wouldn't even have noticed.
