tripple does offer the finest of abrasive but it's not really what it's for. it's more along the lines of enough cut to help with the cleaning of dead paint and oxidising. I removed paint scuffs with it after someone knocked my wing. I like to use it with a MF pad but the foam apps are just as...
Never used it and my local stores never stock these deals.
crystal is nice to use but I sometimes revert back to DDJ clearly menthol for those really stubborn marks. will be checking my stores tonight.
I just spotted this and was coming back on to congratulate toby and you other mean people! :rasp:
I still seem to remember his username popping up on here before
Hve you considered selling bike and plate separately?
May open up a bigger market for someone looking for the SV, as well as people just wanted the plate on their own bike.
I bought an 06 SVs last weekend with 9k miles for just over £2k in vgc. selling separately at lower prices might speed up...
Qd as a drying aid is a bit catch 22.
When your lsp is starting to die off and sheeting isn't all that good a light mist over will help encourage the water to bead off and make it easier to dry. The problem is it ruins drying towels very quickly imo. The towels just end up soaking up half what...
likewise, wanted to post but missed it. I personally didn't think it was all that great on bare paint, maybe it's better over C1. preferred C2 myself but don't tell anyone.
But then what do I know, I sold my girly car for a fat mans Golf, a slow one at that and now bought a motorbike. He'd have...
GTechniq C3 was pretty good at laying down its own protection, giving good water behaviour and gave a similar darkening affect as Zymol waxes
Still not seen any finale in the 'others for sale'. always keeping an eye out for Z6 also should someone not be liking it????? James23
really? don't know the megs range but orange hex logic is a cutting pad for serious correction! I'd personally only recommend blue, red or black hex pads with tripple, maybe the white light polish pad
For me, something simple like AF tripple and other similar all in ones like Srp. Can make a cr@p car look good with minimal effort and keep it looking that way
Fast gloss is not something a beginner should take to a car, maybe a scrap panel.
It's technique mate, I was exactly the same when I started. So stepping up compounds is not recommended. you cant judge swirls without plenty of experience, or balls out attack, or a paint depth gauge to check...
The men's names changed a while back. Have a look at i4d site to see if you can work out what you've got

The technique takes time! And a lot of practice, I remember finding exactly the same as you. Keep at it and you'll get the...
I'm not sure if I think of him as an artist with his instrument, or a tool f#cking about not really doing a good job.
But fair play to him making what must be a boring, long day job into good old laugh.
typically a wheel wax will give better durability as it will hopefully stand up to the higher temperatures, but I've only ever used rim wax, Coli 476, AG HD wax and C5.
As long as you keep on top of it your wax won't do any worse unless you compare it to the proper wheel sealants from...
typically for a beginner I wouldn't recommend going much harsher than the PF2500, with the right pad this can be quite an aggressive combo. I've managed to remove heavy swirling and wet sanding marks with 3.02 ( a version of PF2500) and a green and orange hex pads (heavy polish and light cutting...
To answer the OPs question, autofinesse tripple or autoglym SRP. All in ones with very fine polish, cleaner and wax to seal it off.
But to be honest your post was so vague you could have searched through the many threads on this topic
I'm down to less than 1/4 of a bottle so left me know if any bits are not to your liking.
Have you tried the iron out yet? Nothing else I've tried has matched the original spray ironx so interested to see if there is an alternative, especially as the 5l bottle is well priced
You've lost me there? forthcoming bike purchase this weekend and not yet got a full bike licence means I can strip it down and give it a full prep.
I'd run out of IronX, didn't want to order from CYC and polished bliss don't stock anything other than iron out or de ironisor so thought I'd give...
finale is OK, very easy to use and can't really over apply like some. kind of care free use. gives a decent shine and is relatively cheap. all i'm looking for in a everyday QD
Glisten is a marmite. didn't like it to start, but came round to it. Gives a little amount of it's own protection, but...
a quick detailer can also be used as a drying aid, so after rinsing the car clean, lightly mist the car with QD and then dry. this helps a lot of the water that hasn't sheeted off during rinsing to run off. also acts as a little lubricant if your drying technique is maybe a little to harsh.
I...
G4 is a glass polish only
G1 is a long term glass sealant that lasts a couple of years, takes about an hour to apply and starts to bead water typically at 50mph.
G5 is a short term glass sealant lasting 6months +/-, takes 5minutes to apply and works from 25 - 30mph.
