I'm not so sure. Unless designers find a way to make us of the extra power in a fun way then it's going to be dead in the water.
We're developing on the Unreal 3 engine and still no one here wants one of the cards!! I only put one in as I was currious. It made virtually no difference in...
I've got one in my PC here. I've had it for a while and so far nothing has used it. I've got 3 more in the cupboard, no one wants one. lol
I ran the CellFactor demo with the card disabled and it barely moved at times and that's running on an Athlon X2 4800 with Crossfired Radeon X1900XTXs...
I've left my sodding DS at home.:(
I need to go and get some € changed and a birthday card for my bro anyway. I'll be in tomorrow if I don't forget my DS.
As the boy has said, XP does a good enough job these days.
This is very good if you want something better: http://www.irfanview.com/ or even this: http://picasa.google.com/
I reckon Saints Row has some of the problems that GTA has fixed, like the controls and the graphics but gameplay wise it's a long way off for me.
I think it shows just how amazing GTA 4 is going to be on the 360. I am a bit of a GTA fan boy though. lol
PGR3 is more an arcade racing with...
You'll enjoy PGR3 Nige.
Saints Row is good, but it's no GTA. It lacks any real feeling and gets a bit repetative. Still an excellent game though.
I want to give Test Drive Unlimited some stick but I'm away for 4 days now.
How good is Table Tennis Mike? Hard, but so nice to play.
I'd try and get it on Xbox then. I played it on my trusty old Dreamcast. An early PAL one which still ran on 110volts so needed stepdown! The office will never miss it. ;)
There's a few which stick in my mind.
Monkey Island 2 lol
Metal Gear Solid
Shenmue 1 and 2
Call of Duty 2 on the 360 on the hardest setting was certainly a challange
Res Evil 4
Zelda Ocarina Of Time
There's loads more but those are the most memorable.
I've played it a hell of a lot but I still get my ass handed to me online. It takes a lot of practice. You need to learn all the shortcuts for every track too.
