That's the bit that makes no sense to me? So what you are saying is that it doesn't matter that the improvements have earned the Trophy such praise from owners and the press, making it one of the best hot hatches of all time, because they are just addons?
What should Renault have done instead...
RB5 maybe? Excellent car. Made specifically for the UK market.
I even got offered £10k trade in for my Trophy, and mine is one of the first and has high mileage for it's age.
It doesn't have coilovers. They have a remote reservoir on the front dampers.
Anyone can slap on a set of coilovers, but very few can set them up correctly.
I had a cup packed 182 before the Trophy, and they are very different. There's a bigger difference between the Cup'd 182 and Trophy...
The sachs dampers and setup and Recaros weren't from the parts bin, the other additions obviously were. A lot of time and effort went into the suspension setup on the car. Ragnotti himself spent alot of time pounding around the French hillsides in the car until everyone was happy with the...
There was no evidence that they were made by sachs on the units themselves. And as I said, they didn't last very long either. I'd had the car 12 months by that point.:o
"A rubber chicken with a pulley in the middle, what possible use could this have?"
Monkey Island 1 and 2, DOTT and Sam and Max are some of the funniest games ever made.
I went 172 to 182 with cup packs to Trophy. The Trophy has something special about it for me. Though I reckon the 182 with Cup packs was a better all rounder. Especially on the piss poor roads I drive each day.
I'm still glad I swapped, and this is the longest I've kept a car in a long...
I'll be ordering this: http://www.eurogamer.net/article.php?article_id=68766 The original was pure comedy genius and this looks like more of the same. Fair play to the developers for taking the risk, it was a big one.
Yeah, I did see that. Even I couldn't bring myself to spend that sort of money on a PSU. The down side is the amount of cable they have on them is very hard to stuff into a case neatly, plus it's a little longer than normal in size so is a bit of a squeeze in some cases.
I've bought a lot of Enermax Liberty PSUs here and all the Alienware machines we bought came with Enermax PSUs. Out of 34 two have failed.
If you have money to burn you could get a Tagan PSU. I bought a couple of 900w bad boys recently. They were powering an FX62 with two 7900 GTX Extreme...
Have Renault made some bodywork changes to the last of the Mk2s they are flogging off cheap?
A girl who parks near me at work has just swapped her Mk2 Phase 2 for this.
The rear is smoothed and the plate moved to the bottom, the front bumper has spotlight surrounds similar to the 172/182 and...
If they don't have a courtesy car available and you push hard enough they will hire one and charge it back to RUK customer service where possible.
I've had one hired from Avis a few times now.
No one would believe she was real or that she owned a Trophy, so she came along to a track day I was doing to say hello and have some lunch. She's lovely.
The Trophy on the right is Ruths: http://www.rapidpants.com/images/gallery/motors/2006/dp180306/dp_063.jpg
You can't really see her...
I spoke to Ruth the other day. Nice girl. Came to a few meets and came to see me on track at Donington.
Mine has got silvervisions and a Civic aerial. Other than that there's nothing else I'll be changing, although I may do the brakes as the standard ones don't last too long when getting a...
