I tried doing it with the nut off, but it kept slipping aswell, so i put the nut back on it for some extra grip! Didn't happen!

Right, i've bought the tool from Screwfix, and taken off the blade and the cover.... Looks like this at the moment, been tightening the long black bit, but its just not budging the wiper arm.... it just seems to slide out of place all the time! Am i doing something wrong?

Noticed I have millions of little miniature scratches on the sides and face of my head lamp.. Is there a way of polishing these off?? or is it a case of replacing the head lamp? Cheers
