Also because a lot of "normal people" will think its the last gadget Steve had his hand in designing, which we know isnt true (The iPad 3 and iPhone 5 will most likely already be designed etc) but to the average Joe they'll assume that.
But this point also.
RAM arrived yesterday and fitted it today. Also realised that my MBP is one of the older ones (Pre-unibody) and probably the reason I got it so cheap when I did.
Anyway, performance is noticably faster just waiting on my USB with OSX Lion arriving now.
Downloaded Crucials computer scanner and it tells me I have:
Your MacBook Pro 2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo (15-inch DDR3) MB470LL/A
And recommends this: http://www.crucial.com/uk/store/mpartspecs.aspx?mtbpoid=05217C5FA5CA7304
How do ya know which 2 x 4GBs to buy since when I select my MBP on any sites it only gives me the option for 2 x 2GB sticks. I assume its just the same one but 4GB instead of 2GB? These are the ones its tellin me to buy: http://www.crucial.com/uk/store/mpartspecs.aspx?mtbpoid=FF1F93F9A5CA7304
I'm getting it as to run OSX Lion you need 2Gb of RAM. I still want the MBP to be fast so just wanna add a couple extra RAM.
Also just discovered that my MBP is one of the early 2009 models as opposed to the newer ones released in the summer of 2009 (Think the reason I got it so cheap) so the...
I looked at the apple guide and it does look as easy as walking.

Anyone tried the Crucial System scanner software? Is it accurate?
I have a MBP with the following specs:
Its a summer 2009 model with:

I wanna put some more memory (RAM) in it but I aint an Apple specialist and want to ask the pros on here whats what.
I understand my MBP has to slots for RAM...

Anyone came acrosss the problem on Canada? You can be heading down the back straight and brake for the last chicane, if theres a car close behind going in the pits they just ram into the back of you as he obviously doesnt need to brake. Then you get penalised for blocking? WTF?
Correct
Also thought it looked very "Can of Irn Bru like" with its still Arden blue paint in some places (Engine bay and inner door shuts).
Excellent pics though.
