I think they stopped making the ones for the Williams.. could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure.
May be having 16v sourcing problems too.. (if it's different)
This forum is to post any eBay/pistonheads/autotrader links you may have.
You can use it to link to your own eBay/pistonheads/autotrader items or to items you think may be of interest to other people.
Just means we keep all of the eBay/pistonheads/autotrader stuff together..
Daz.
Williams ECU's have no immobiliser information in them at all - Williams had a completly seperate alarm unit..
But yea.. a Williams ECU won't run a 1.8 16v very well.. (if at all.. heh)
Could be like I suggested in the other thread,
Water stuck inside the sills - happens a lot, as the drainage holes are under the sill also and get clogged up with dirt.
Clean the holes out and see if any water comes out.
Might be that.
Sounds to me as if your sills have filled up with water.
There are two drainage holes in the sill (underneath) - these are probably blocked with mud and stuff.
Had it on my 1.2.. just cleaned the drainage holes and all the water drained away.
35ish in a Williams.. and it does stop.
Goes for about 1 mile juddering.. I know that too.
Er.. I mean, I've seen it happen to.. er.. someone.. er.. yea.. erm.. before..
;)
Well, ya.. maybe.
We measured with the same wheels on tho..
Anyways,
If it is the same, I'm glad I got a Williams.. :P (Else it'd have been Willy tracked, hehe)
100%? :S
The rear is definetly wider! I can remember measuring it on Weight's drive!
The track was one of the main reasons I was looking at 16v/Williams over my 1.2..
If I see a Mk1 1.2/1.4 I'm going to measure it! :P
They are different tho..
Valver has Coolant and Petrol guages next to each other at the bottom.. with external temp (digi display) at the top.
The RT has Oil Level/Coolant at bottom and Petrol guage at the top..
To be honest, I'd much rather see a Renault specialist stamp in the service book than a Renault one - especially on these sort of cars. A lot of people love Renault stamps.. and if I had a newer Clio (172/182) I'd probably use Renault for a bit too! I think the "specialist" bit comes in much...
Fitting the 19 mount, won't fix any problems with the other mounts.
The 19 mount is a nice extra, but I'd only fit it after I knew the other 3 were in good condition.
My Williams now is solid as a rock on standard mounts. (well, dogbone is a HillPower uprated one..)
iChat looks like it'll work with AOL Instant Messenger and Jabber.
I'd recommend Jabber of the two.. lots of clients and it's a *PROPER* IM system :) (if you can find one which does video well enough)
