Primes to use the correct term (a fixed lens is more like Dan’s X100 where the lens cannot be removed) are generally better performers, due to the more simplistic designs. They’re usually sharper, and quicker to focus, plus the main attraction is the faster aperture, which as I’m sure you...
I’d just leave it without. Putting a Ford badge on a Renault is like when you see micra’s with the mk2 Renaultsport badge, just no.
Other than that the car looks fantastic!
Great idea in concept, but if we can barely get people to take the time to take a picture and enter it into the photo comp, I doubt that many people will have the time to record and edit, then upload a video, but who knows. I’d definitely do a trial month to see how it goes.
I specifically told Brett not to clean them, they look too ‘flashy’ and bright when clean, doesn’t suit the car tbh.
Plus the dirty decat deposite colour looks more motorsport ;)
I have this bag; The quality is brilliant and it’s a really well designed bag, and unlike the ones above it has two straps, which is more comfortable and practical that a sling strap.

I think the D5100 is not above your level, I’ve had one after my first DSLR a D40 and it isn’t much more advanced, just more modern and performs a lot better. And with D5100’s being so cheap I’d recommend it highly, it has the same sensor as my D7000, so you’re getting a lot of performance for...
So this morning me and my brother (Brett on here) went and cleaned the car, then we went of for a few pics.
The current mods/little bits are:
Scorpion SRN019 with Decat
Silvervisions
Skoda Fabia splitter
shorter ariel
3/4 plate
He has some Cooksport springs to go on after Christmas too.
So...
For photo editing Lightroom is much better, for serious tweaking such as cloning entire objects out I'd recommend photoshop. For your needs at the moment I'd say go for Lightroom, It's easy to get to grips with and it's a really good programme, so I'd say go for that :)
I hope you enjoy the new camera, it’s a good place to start!
The first thing to consider when you start out is the old cliche: Practise makes perfect. Get to grips with the camera in manual, and go out and take pictures, critique your own work and think how you could improve it, then go out and...
