Right, I went to get some oil on the weekend, I have a choice now, which should I get ? Mobil 1 Gold 0w40 Synethetic or Castrol GTX Magantec 10w40 ?

G, I did not realise that, I thought I read somewhere that implied that it was done at the meet, my bad ! Just out of curiosity, if you were caught street racing as described, what would happen ? Is it a case of a ticket or something more serious ?

Ian H, sorry to hear about that mate, you would not expect it to happen at a meet really with people of similar interest but some people are just fuelled by jealousy ! So sad ! rockport, with regards to MP3s, just download a P2P programme like Kazaa and you can get ANY MP3 you ever want ...

I am going to go to my local Halfords and see what matches up with what I need, hopefully sort this on the weekend then. Should I feel a difference in the car as some people have said that the car felt smoother and better after an oil change ?

So the 5w30 matched the rating but the 5w40 didnt ? Thanks again for all your help mate. Going to try and sort this out on the weekend.

It does make sense, I am sorry to be a total dumbbell about this, just want to get it right, hope you understand. So, if I look for that rating then I cannot go far wrong ? But if I had the choice out of 0w40, 5w40 or 5w30, what should I go for ?
