nah open IK for the noise......closed airbox for the performance.
altho i do run an open ik thru the winter months, and std airbox in the summer. more of a whistle and slightly more induction noise with the ik. which is nice.
only seen it once.....an it blew up lol
iv heard it was that fast it developed serious feelings for the tyre wall/armco at the 1st corner of oulton tho....;)
been behind it on road...until i got bored and passed him ;) lol

in answer to your question....how many are actually running chips mapped to suit ? especially by someone who knows what they are doing??

kill power chips, superchips etc used to be the ones to use for off the shelf, and...
can the smt6s be mapped to a higher rev limit now??
the plug and play chips are s**t. the best chip is one thats mapped to suit ur car. whether it be standalone, or a re-mapped chip refitted to oe ecu.
dependant on the mods the standalone is an expensive, unnecassary piece of kit. as...
last time monkey had his remapped at waynes (chip wizards) the cost was summat like £20....
but it isnt long since itd been done the first time.
they dont need to be piggy back ecus to be able to change the map....or standalone for that matter.

lol..no need to use that as an excuse mate. i had a newborn and an 18 month old kid in mine with the AVOs on...altho these can be set softer than the oe set up, albeit with stiffer springs....which with a baby is actually an advantage cos uv then got less roll, which means they not gettin...
the uprated clutches arent that bad tbh. iv had my uprated unit in for 2 years now...its absolutely perfect for the strip, and heavy abuse, full throttle changes/clutchless changes etc, sat in traffic with it isnt exactly a problem either, altho it does get a bit tiresome after a couple hours...

i had teh original one in mine for 2 years, and have had 1 recon and 3 s/h ones in over the last 2 years.....
u can go sadev, but they cost big bucks, quaiffe do an lsd now too as well as gripper, both around the grand + fittin mark.

it wasnt a seized caliper prob mate....they stopped a little better than std ones for about the same length of time........then they suffered the same fade/heat disappation probs as the std ones...all based on research done years ago like...as i said.....6-7 ago lol.....not sure what they like...
