I didn't say I would buy a S2000, I just said it's a better car, in the £35K bracket. A normal Boxter might not be all that quick but it's still one of the best handling sport cars. And btw, I would have a 182 over a Vee. Vee far far away from S2000...okay. Whatever. Maybe in a ditch because...

Figures might show it as a few tenths slower to 60 or so but in the real world there would be sod all in it. It's still a much better car than the Vee. I couldn't give a toss if it's not as quick in a straight line.

I wouldn't pay (have paid) £15 for a new 172. You can't compare a new 172 v a used Vee. So a £26K Clio v £15K Clio. £10998 for a 50 miles Cup is what I would pay.

Love or hate the Vee, they have a nice engine but I don't think they are worth the money.

It's not really any quicker (197) than your 172. And running better fuel will account for basically nothing in terms of performance, apart from a bit of a smoother feeling in the engine. Lol at the "they are really fast" comment. There is very little difference.

The GTi is down on power for that size of car, compared with Leon, Megane etc. Still a nice car and a much better buy than the R32. A 172 should be as quick up to a point.
